Its official name is The Residences at W Singapore Sentosa Cove, and it was completed in 2011 on a 99-year lease that began on 31 October 2006.

The Residences at W Sentosa Cove Location

The Residences at W Sentosa Cove follows the curve of Ocean Way on the inner side of Sentosa Cove, where the homes look across the waterway rather than out to sea.

The waterway is a working one: the developer’s site plan marks yacht berths along the waterway edge of the grounds, and the masts of the marina fill the view from the upper floors.

Quayside Isle, with its restaurants and cafés by the water, stands at 31 Ocean Way, about 170 metres from the development in a straight line on OneMap.

The ONE°15 Marina club on Cove Drive is about 370 metres away, and the shops of Sentosa Cove Village on Cove Avenue about 300 metres.

Sentosa Golf Club is about 1.5 kilometres to the west and Tanjong Beach about 1.6 kilometres; Universal Studios and Resorts World are about 2.3 to 2.6 kilometres away.

HarbourFront MRT station and VivoCity are about 2.9 kilometres away in a straight line, and Google Maps gives about 4.3 kilometres by road over the Sentosa Gateway.

The Residences at W Sentosa Cove Developer

The homes offered at The Residences at W Sentosa Cove belong to Cityview Place Holdings Pte Ltd, named as the owner in the developer’s fact sheet.

EdgeProp Singapore reported in April 2024 that City Developments Limited (CDL), one of Singapore’s largest property groups, developed the project, and that Cityview Place Holdings is an associate company of CDL.

The development was completed in 2011 on a 99-year lease that began on 31 October 2006.

In April 2024 Cityview Place Holdings released the homes it owns for sale, with viewings by appointment and bookings from 15 April 2024.

The project fact sheet names AXIS Architects Planners as architect, WATG as concept designer and Dragages Singapore as builder, with Cicada as landscape consultant.

Homes are sold as completed homes, in the condition they stand, so a buyer sees the finished layout, finishes and outlook before choosing.

The Residences at W Sentosa Cove developer page sets out the owner, the developer and the design team.

What Sets The Residences at W Sentosa Cove Apart

Most of the apartments at Sentosa Cove stand in towers. The Residences at W Sentosa Cove takes the other course: seven blocks of six storeys, laid along the water in a long crescent, so that every home is close to the ground, the gardens and the pools, and no block towers over its neighbour.

The low height changes how the homes are used. First-storey homes open onto private enclosed spaces, several of them with their own spa pools; the floors above look across the pools to the waterway; and on the sixth storey the penthouses run up into an attic level under the roof.

The development is also complete. There is no construction period to wait through: the homes, the clubhouse and the grounds are built, so a buyer chooses a finished home and moves in after legal completion. The gallery shows homes at the development as they are furnished today.
