The Owner and Developer of The Residences at W Sentosa Cove
The developer’s fact sheet for The Residences at W Sentosa Cove, dated March 2024, names Cityview Place Holdings Pte Ltd as the owner, and its documents describe the homes being offered as units owned by Cityview Place Holdings in the condominium. EdgeProp Singapore reported on 9 April 2024 that Cityview Place Holdings is an associate company of City Developments Limited (CDL), and that CDL developed the project, which was completed in 2011.
CDL is listed on the Singapore Exchange and is one of the country’s largest property groups; its homes website also lists The Oceanfront @ Sentosa Cove. Cityview Place Holdings released the homes it owns at the development in April 2024, with viewings by appointment from 10 April and bookings from 15 April 2024.

The Design Team Behind The Residences at W Sentosa Cove
The project fact sheet in the sales kit lists the consultants who designed and built The Residences at W Sentosa Cove. AXIS Architects Planners were the architect, with WATG, the international resort design practice Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, as concept designer. Dragages Singapore built the development, Cicada designed the landscape and Axis ID the interiors.
That combination shows in the layout: low blocks set around water, with pools, a lily pond and a floating walk rather than a single central pool deck. The amenities page lists the facilities, and the gallery shows homes at the development today.

The W Name and The Residences at W Sentosa Cove
The Residences at W Sentosa Cove takes its name from its neighbour on Ocean Way, the W Singapore – Sentosa Cove hotel at 21 Ocean Way. The developer’s documents state that Cityview Place Holdings does not have any ownership rights to the ‘W’ brand name; the residences are a private condominium in their own right, with their own clubhouse, pools and management.
For buyers, what matters is the condominium itself: the 228 homes, the grounds and the 99-year lease from 31 October 2006. The project details page sets out each particular and its source.
